The two treatments emphasize different effects, and their results also overlap. Knowing that they can be scheduled on the same day answers only whether they fit into the same itinerary; it does not tell you whether your face needs both. First identify whether your main concern is downward contours, loose skin or facial hollowing, then decide on one device or both.
Watch out: same-day treatment does not mean everyone needs both devices
Ultherapy and Thermage can usually be done on the same day
At our clinic, Ultherapy and Thermage FLX can usually be scheduled on the same day. Cases that need separate sessions are uncommon, so visitors on a short trip do not need to reserve a fixed gap of several days or weeks or plan another clinic visit in advance.
Same-day treatment does not mean there is no risk or that combining two devices will necessarily produce a greater change. The director first assesses the facial tissues, the areas to address and the separate goal for each device, then decides whether to treat on the same day and how to allocate the areas and energy. If the consultation identifies one of the uncommon cases that should be separated, the timing of the next session is explained according to that plan rather than one interval applied to everyone.
When both devices may be needed
Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound and emphasizes deeper support and contours. Thermage uses monopolar radiofrequency and emphasizes skin firmness, fine lines and texture. These are differences in emphasis rather than two unrelated layers of the face, and the tightening and contour changes from the treatments can overlap.
There is a reason to consider both only when jowls, the jawline or sagging nasolabial folds have clearly moved downward, the skin itself also has clear laxity, fine-line or texture concerns, and the director determines that each device has its own target. The question is not whether two devices are more than one, but whether you can state separately what each one is intended to improve.
If you choose one treatment, address the main concern first
If downward contours are the main concern, Ultherapy is assessed first; if it is loose skin, fine lines or texture, Thermage is assessed first. When one treatment already matches the main concern, there is no need to add the other simply because both can be done on the same day. Hollow cheeks or nasolabial folds caused by hollowing are a separate question, and neither treatment replaces lost volume. What doing both costs
We do not sell combos before a consultation; a combo is set only after the consultation confirms you need both. To estimate a budget before the trip, check the individual prices of Ultherapy and Thermage on the price list. Listed prices exclude VAT; 10% is added at payment.
How to plan a short stay in Korea
If you are staying only a few days, do not work backward from the trip length and assume that you should combine both devices because you are already in Korea. First decide whether one is enough. If both concerns are clear and each device has its own goal, they can usually be completed in the same visit. Visitors do not need to choose which device goes first; the director sets the order based on the areas and energy plan that day.
If the in-person consultation identifies one of the uncommon cases that should be treated separately, do not squeeze in a second session just to fit the return trip. Address the main concern first, then set any later timing according to the actual plan rather than applying a fixed interval found online.
| Your main concern | Same-day and treatment decision |
|---|---|
| Mainly jowls, jawline definition and downward contours | Assess Ultherapy first; do not add Thermage just because both can be done the same day |
| Mainly loose skin, fine lines and skin texture | Assess Thermage first; do not add Ultherapy just because the trip is short |
| Both downward contours and loose skin are clear | They can be scheduled on the same day after the consultation confirms a separate goal for each device |
| Only staying in Korea for a few days | There is no need to plan a fixed interval first; confirm whether one device is already enough |
FAQ
- Can Ultherapy and Thermage be done on the same day?
- Usually, yes. Our clinic generally schedules them on the same day. The director still decides whether you need both and sets the areas and energy after an in-person consultation.
- Do I need two days for Ultherapy and Thermage during a short trip to Korea?
- You do not need to set aside two separate treatment days in advance. If you need both, they can usually be completed on the same day. If one is enough, start with that treatment.
- Do Ultherapy and Thermage always need to be done together?
- No. Consider both only when downward contours and loose skin each have a clear treatment goal. If there is one main concern, start with one treatment.
- Is there a fixed price for an Ultherapy + Thermage combo?
- We do not sell combos before a consultation; a combo is set only after the consultation confirms you need both. You can check the price of each treatment on the price list first.
- If both are done on the same day, which one comes first?
- There is no fixed order for everyone. The director decides based on the areas and energy plan that day; visitors do not need to choose the order in advance.

If you see no change one month after Ultherapy, don't rush into another session, and don't call it a failure on that basis alone.
