Genuine Ultherapy in Korea: How to Check Certification (2026)

To check genuine, manufacturer-certified Ultherapy in Korea, first switch the official Merz Korea list of clinics participating in genuine-product certification to English and search by the clinic's registered name or address. Then compare the booking details and the device label for Ultherapy (Ulthera) or Ultherapy PRIME. Read NFC, QR or DeepSEE screens only for the specific items they actually display.

This page covers only how to confirm genuine, manufacturer-certified Ultherapy in Korea. If you want prices first, see Ultherapy prices in Korea. If you want to know how many lines a full face needs, see how many Ultherapy lines for a full face.

Watch out: Check the clinic first, then verify the device used for your treatment

“Ultrasound lifting” is a broad market label, and those words alone do not show whether the booking is for Ultherapy or Ultherapy PRIME. Genuine-device verification is also not completed by finding one sticker or tapping once. Whether the clinic is on the official list, the device model booked for this visit, the device on site and the transducer data are separate checks.

The most practical order is to start with the official Merz Korea clinic list, then ask the clinic to put the full device model in the booking or quote, and check the name on the device when you arrive. If NFC, QR or DeepSEE displays information, interpret only the object explicitly shown on that screen. Do not extend one item into proof that the entire treatment has been verified.

Step 1: Search the registered clinic name on the official Merz list

Open the Merz Aesthetics Korea list of clinics participating in genuine-product certification, switch it to English, and search by the clinic’s registered name or address. For our clinic, confirm the Yeongdeungpo branch and address. If the name does not match, ask the clinic which registered name is used for the official search instead of relying on a similar brand abbreviation.

The official page covers both Ultherapy PRIME and Ultherapy clinics. It also states that inclusion provides information and is not a Merz recommendation of the clinic, and that treatment availability should be confirmed before visiting. Finding the clinic is therefore only the first step. It does not establish that PRIME or Ultherapy will necessarily be used that day.

Step 2: Put the full device model in writing before booking

When requesting a quote or booking, ask directly, “Is this quote for Ultherapy or Ultherapy PRIME?” Ask for the full name in the quote or booking message. Generic terms such as “HIFU,” “ultrasound lifting” or “genuine ultrasound” are not enough to distinguish the actual device model.

At the clinic, ask staff to point out the brand and model label on the device and compare it with the booking details. The official Merz Korea product page uses the name Ultherapy PRIME and also refers to Ultherapy and Ulthera. Checking the full English name is clearer than relying on appearance, device color or a spoken abbreviation.

Our price list also separates Ultherapy and Ultherapy PRIME into two price groups instead of combining them under one generic ultrasound price. To compare line counts and fees, continue with Ultherapy prices in Korea and align the line count, area and included items within the same device model.

Taiwan’s messaging-app verification, QR codes and genuine-product cards: what to use in Korea

In Taiwan, manufacturer certification for Ultherapy is often checked through the manufacturer’s messaging-app account, by scanning a QR code on the device or transducer, or with a genuine-product card. In Korea, the starting point becomes the official Merz Korea clinic list. You are confirming a Korean clinic, so rely on this Korean list rather than judging only from results in a Taiwanese channel.

If NFC or QR is offered on site, follow the method below and read only the clinic, device or consumable information the screen actually lists. If you are handed a paper genuine-product card or certificate, first check which clinic and which device model it names, then compare it with your booking details.

“A new transducer opened in front of you”, which Taiwanese articles often mention, is how Thermage is checked. The Thermage treatment tip is single-use, and at our clinic we open it in front of you when we perform Thermage. Ultherapy transducers do not work this way; what to look at is the transducer label and expiry described in the next section.

What the transducer can show: Type, expiry and system data

The official Ultherapy PRIME instructions for use state that the top of the transducer shows its type, expiry and other information. Once installed, the system recognizes it automatically. The DeepSEE screen can display the transducer type, remaining and total lines, and the number of lines delivered during treatment. These items can be checked separately on site.

The transducer is not treated like a single-use Thermage treatment tip, with a brand-new one opened for every patient. The official instructions require Ultherapy transducers to be cleaned and disinfected between patients and their expiry checked before use. Seeing a transducer that was not newly opened does not by itself show that it is not genuine.

NFC, QR and DeepSEE each answer a different question

If the clinic offers an NFC tap or QR lookup, first confirm that it opens a manufacturer-provided authentication service. Then compare only the clinic, device or consumable information that the page actually lists with the treatment arranged for you. A successful tap or scan does not mean that every check is complete. If the screen does not list an item, do not assume that item has also been verified.

DeepSEE serves a different purpose. Official information explains that it uses real-time ultrasound imaging to view tissue layers, and the instructions for use show that its screen also presents treatment depth, transducer and line data. It is an interface physicians use to plan and record treatment, not the official clinic-registration search page. A visible DeepSEE image can help verify the system function and treatment information in use, but it cannot replace the official clinic search or full device-model check.

If the information does not match, return to official sources

If you cannot find the clinic, the quote only says “HIFU” or “ultrasound lifting” without identifying the device model, or an NFC or QR screen does not clearly state what it verifies, do not guess. Search the official Merz Korea clinic list again in English using the registered clinic name and address, then compare the formal name on the official Ultherapy PRIME product page. If questions remain, use the customer service and contact details published on the official Merz Aesthetics Korea website.

The official clinic list, actual device model, transducer and treatment screen provide different layers of information. Check them separately.

What we do

  • Verification

We check the official clinic list and actual device model separately, and do not treat one DeepSEE, NFC or QR screen as proof of the entire treatment.

FAQ

How can I find a manufacturer-certified Ultherapy clinic in Korea?
Switch the official Merz Korea clinic list to English and search by the registered clinic name or address. Confirm the device available that day before visiting.
Are Ultherapy and Ultherapy PRIME the same device model?
They belong to the same Ultherapy family but have different model names. The booking, quote and device on site should use the same full name.
Does an NFC tap or QR scan verify the entire treatment?
No. First check whether the result page names a clinic, device or another item. It confirms only the object explicitly shown on the screen.
Is a new Ultherapy transducer opened for every patient?
No. The official instructions for use require the transducer to be cleaned and disinfected between patients and checked for expiry before use.
What can a DeepSEE screen confirm?
It displays ultrasound images, treatment depth, transducer and line data. It is not used to check whether a clinic appears on the official list.
