Pigmentation · Melasma
Laser spot removal sends light of a specific wavelength into the melanin in the epidermis and dermis, so the pigment in the spot absorbs it, breaks down and is cleared away; it is the part of laser light treatment aimed at the pigment layer. We don’t sell a fixed number of sessions or a fixed area before the in-person consultation. The doctor decides how to treat only after seeing your skin and how deep the spots sit, and the doctor at your consultation is the doctor who performs the treatment. This treatment suits people whose spots are well defined and whose skin tone is stable. If you are prone to melasma, have a deeper skin tone, or tend to darken after treatment, we will first work on your skin condition before talking about laser, because going straight to the laser can make the pigmentation worse.
