What you can confirm before booking are four things that can be checked
Nobody else can really tell you which clinic is “best,” but some things don’t need to wait for the consultation — you can ask about them before booking. The four items in the table all have clear answers: whether the device and tip can be verified, whether the tip is opened in front of you, whether prices are published, and whether you can communicate in Chinese. If any answer is vague, ask until it is clear before you book.
In Korea, the device and tip are verified through the official Solta Korea process, which should not be assumed to match another country’s system. For what you can confirm before and after treatment, read how to verify genuine fourth-generation Thermage. For prices, the point is not the number in the table but what you actually pay for the same option once VAT is added; for how to work out the total for 600 and 900 shots, read Thermage prices in Korea.
At the consultation, ask: why does Thermage suit my concern?
Verification confirms the device and the consumable; whether it suits you is something to understand at the consultation. If it is mainly skin that is no longer firm, fine lines and texture, I start by discussing Thermage and explain which concern it addresses. Just saying “you want lifting, so do RF” hasn’t answered the why yet. For which concerns fall within Thermage’s range and which don’t, first read Thermage results in Korea.
At the consultation, ask: with the same shot count, which areas are planned differently?
A meaningful answer goes back to you and to each area’s skin thickness, not to your gender or one fixed rule. Thin skin or areas close to bone sometimes hurt more, and depending on that spot I may slightly adjust the intensity or spread the energy; for pain management in detail, read does Thermage hurt next.
What you can judge from the answer is whether the doctor looks at different areas separately. You can’t work out how the whole face will be treated from one energy number, and you can’t judge the effect directly from how much it hurts. My principle is not to let it hurt too much, while using enough energy within what you can tolerate, and then adjusting area by area.
Opening the tip in front of you confirms the consumable
We always let you confirm the Thermage tip together with us before treatment, then open it in front of you. But this only answers whether you saw the consumable with your own eyes; it doesn’t replace the first two questions. Once the genuine device, the shot count and the tip are all confirmed, you still need to understand why this treatment was chosen and which areas will be adjusted for your condition.
